Freelance Label Design – Terms of Service

1. Services Provided

By engaging in services with Plant & Candle Co., you agree that the scope of work includes only what is explicitly outlined in the project proposal or invoice. Any additional revisions or services beyond the agreed scope will be billed at the current hourly rate or as a separate project.

2. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to book and begin all projects. Final payment is due upon project completion and prior to the delivery of the final files. Late payments may result in additional fees or withholding of final deliverables.

3. Refund Policy

Due to the custom nature of design services, payments made are non-refundable. If a project is terminated early by the client, any payments made up to that point are retained to cover time and work invested.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide all necessary content, branding assets, and feedback in a timely manner to keep the project on schedule. Failure to do so may result in project delays or rescheduling.

5. Revisions

Each project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions beyond this amount will incur an additional fee.

6. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, the client is granted the rights to use the final approved designs for the agreed purposes. Designer retains the right to display all work created in portfolios, social media, and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Cancellation

Either party may cancel the project at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation by the client, all payments made up to that point are non-refundable, and any work completed will be delivered in its current state.

8. Liability

Designer is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of designs once delivered and approved by the client. It is the client's responsibility to review all designs for accuracy and compliance before production or publishing.

9. Confidentiality

Any confidential information shared during the project will remain confidential and not shared with outside parties without written consent, except as required by law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the state of Michigan.

10. Right to Refusal

I reserve the right to refuse projects I deem unethical, unsustainable, or harmful.
